I signed up 1 Day (9am to 5pm) CEPP course (Community Emergency Preparedness Programme) for our family during June School holiday Sabrina had her Brazilian dance lesson at Bishan CC. I saw this CEPP course at Rivervale CC before we didn't manage to join because that time they are under Saturday and Sunday 2 days course.(We can't make it on Saturday. http://www.scdf.gov.sg/content/scdf_internet/en/community-and-volunteers/community-preparedness/community-programmes/cepp.html At period of time, Sabrina reads a lot information about "how to react during emergency case" how to do CPR ?, what's should we do when we have a deep cut ? what's first Aid, what's in the first aid box... and so on. We do have some experiences on "CPR" at Yishun Safra.She is curious and interested to know more, and I want her to grow up with more passions. I am a parent who's encouraging early child learning, is good to develop life skills in them. Positive behavior/think...

All the while, I am involved all Sabrina learning journey,, like piano, swimming.. I will practice with her at home. But only Ballet,, I cant do practice with her at home.. unless parents sit in for every lesson. But for sure Sabrina did enjoyed the ballet lesson with StepUp, every lessons She always came out with her smilling face.

before the lesson start, they have to practice their freestyle and breast stroke. at 3rd lesson they are still in body shaking haven start the hand pull ..according to S, this coach want them to shake faster and the coach have split them in 2 groups, 3 in a group. while group 1 are practicing with coach. group 2 have to practice their body shake at the side of the swimming pool. Sabrina was proud for herself.. as coach praise her body shake is very nice , even asked all children look how does Sabrina shake her body.(all children remain sitted then Sabrina swim and show them)

Long time didn't do any drawing with Sabrina and I didn't know how is her drawing progress...Today, she drew a "Cat" and the cat look great. ( very proud Mummy) and I also find a good website step by step teaching about animals drawing http://www.howtodrawanimals.net/how-to-draw-a-cat While I am doing my packing.. I let Sabrina to draw on the cartons.. she enjoyed.

When we were at Bishan neighbour police post for an address change on our IC, happened to talk to the staff ask about visit to Singapore police Force just like our visited to Singapore Fire station. The staff told me, we could actually call and make arrangement with them. Why this idea come to my mind ? is all about Sabrina and I went to see CH8 Road show on C.L.I.F (Courage,Loyalty, Integrity,Fairness) and one of my friend just visited the place, she mention July is the children's season , children get chance to wear police uniform and photo session with their uniform on. During children's season program will be shorter to 1 hour.. normal program about 2 hours is more suitable for primary school students. We called and pre-arrange with them the date of visiting and because of security, we need to provide them all the visitors full name and IC no. and They are open from Tuesday to Friday ,afternoon slots are all fully book.. we only could take weekday morning.oh no. because of ...

I told teacher schedule Sabrina to G1 exam in Feb/Mar 2012. So that she could concentrate on her P1 next year. So teacher start to teach her a bit more about her G1 exam. Sabrina has finished her scales C major, G major, D major and F major. Minor scales A minor and D minor Now Contrary-motion scale Broken Chords Her first exam piece A.3 Gavotta 2nd exam piece " Tarantella" video took on her first day practice.. she still can't finish the piece. Everyday, after school after lunch Sabrina has about 1 hour free time = free creations minds. She's usually will want to reads her story books but today she says to me, she want to do somethings...and she need to use toilet papers and staples. Actually, I didn't ask much questions..after 15mins, she has showing me this tissue paper slippers... nice ...she told me , she has learnt this from a book that she reads. I'm very happy, she could take up her own initiative to do e crafts.

After we had decided to sold our flat at Sengkang,I wasted all my PVs effort in Rivervale and Compassvale primary school. I start to do my search on primary school at Bishan area thru Kiasuparents forum.. Ai Tong-out, Catholic High-boy sch,left only Guangyang Primary School and Kuo Chuan Presbyterian but this 2 schools is not what I want.. normal neighbour primary sch if we apply all under phase 2C . Luckily, as a Catholic, we can apply all Catholic school primary school under Phase 2B.. I Know St Nicholas at AMK is a popular and SAP school but even we can apply under phase 2B but still we no chance to get in because we are not stay within 1km of the school. CHIJ Toa Payoh, I start to study about CHIJ TP P1 registration history records in Kiasuparents..1km no balloting, 1-2km no balloting only ballot outside 2km, I also got advice from kiasuparents chances of getting in the school,Thanks to the one of the mummy in kiasuparents told me Bishan st 12 is within 1-2km of CHIJ,we need to get...

By chance , I get to know my neighbour uncle would go Pulau Ubin twice a week ,, Monday and Friday, so I decided let Sabrina skip one day school and bring Sabrina go Nature explore @ Pulau Ubin with my kind neighbour uncle ,he will be my tour guide for the day. I always wanted to bring S to a place call" Chek Jawa" but our Saturday schedule doesn't fix e group. http://chekjawa.nus.edu.sg/ http://www.wildsingapore.com/ubin/going.htm The first thing, we rented a bicycle as our transportation in Pulau Ubin. Uncle need to go over to his friend durians farm. Along the way to uncle friend, we had saw many group of people sitting at the road side waiting durians to drop, according to the uncle there are durians trees every where no one own the durians ..many Singaporean will travel here to pick up free durians... we saw many people all 满载而归 and smile in their face. when neighbour uncle went out to pick up his friends again leave only me and Sabrina in the house. Beginning of the year, I plan to bring Sabrina to Kidz Amaze.. but the plan was put off because of too far from our home. Today, I need to go there to settle payment for Sabrina' 6th Birthday party in Kidz Amaze. We have not been celebrate her birthday since 3 year old till now. She has been asking for one. We also signing up Kidz Amaze membership for S because as Safra member only have to paid $16.05 + S birthday party will be under cheaper rate compare with as Safra member. Thank you for my new friend Sammi share this free concert lobang with me. S has not been to any music concert before.. Sabrina is a child couldn't sit still for 5min.. she always said " is too bored". with a new friend "Jacob" company Sabrina sit thru this 1 hour concert. To me.. is amazing. but still last 15min she was keep standing up..talking ..aiyo peisai.. I should bring S more often for concert. Hopefully, I could expose S to a variety of music—Opera, Classical, Jazz, Country, Soft Rock... That will help her in her piano learning journey .like..strong sense of music.

Why I let S learn ballet ? first ,I want her to be more polite in a way not only in her speaking and also in action way. I want her grow up to be more ladylike :) I want her to learn how to walk properly in small step..not like jumping and running all over the place. So far, I like their way of teaching not so dry for S. http://www.ichild.com.sg/user_school/step/school/Yishun.html but I realize S always do difference side of other children..mean other children bring up right leg but S bring up left leg... is it because of she 's left handed ? otherwise teacher must correcting her rite ? I had talk to person in charge on this method..

Sabrina failed her butterfly test :(..because of her hand stroke not straight and also not all the way to behind, partially also because age of S, she is only 6. The examiner give 3 chances to S.. but still can not make it, but examiner mention S body shake (Dolphin shake) very nice. She need to stay at same level for next term. I am not feeling so sad because I know butterfly isn't easy for a younger child just like Sabrina... and I think she is doing great.keep it up,my dear !

Sabrina is going to P1 next year. Speech and drama is very important for lower primary. That will help on the path to readiness for primary school. That why I have doing that with Sabrina since she was baby till now. I gave Sabrina a lot of video time.. Speech and drama is a very good way to build up self confident in a child, also improve their vocab. The thing we always doing at home,we were treating stories book as a song, sing out loudly,Read poetry aloud and reading stories aloud. and Sabrina was doing great in this area ;)

S was on 2 wheels cycle almost 1 year, we often brought her to cycling in park or playground. We also let her cycle to school on and off. The distance is about 2/3 bus stop. Last week, I had this idea.. let S try out long distance cycling from home Rivervale Crescent to SK swimming pool at Anchorvale. Oh ! That 's sound very challenging rite ? However, she is only 5+. I myself haven try it before..when I told S that.. she was so excited about it. Her answer was full of power and confident that she can do it, no fears in her answers.. We were leave home at 3.20pm.. we had took 15min to reached SK compass point shopping centre. At the corner turning out to SK polyclinic , S knock against bicycle who's illegal parking there..but luckily S was not hurt by the accident. Finally, we reached SK swimming at 3.50pm. After S has finished practicing her swimming.. 6pm we started our journey again. Our going home journey was smooth...and we were safely home. What a tiring day for S. and S ...

Punggol mummies are all crazy over baking sessions at Brillionaire kids is located at NEX 4th floor Sky Garden. Don't know who's start it first ? then everyone follow the wind... All mummies share 44 sessions in package. wow amazing mummies.. some mummies get 4/5 sessions straight for their kids. I got one for Donuts session. Children learn baking is a great way to improve their motor skills and children learn best through hand on activities. All getting ready to start the donuts session. Impressive ! They do flash cards Children need a lot of strength to roll their dough,, is quite tiring for young children., but also a very good motor skill train. Certificate for their hard work.

We saw this mini safari at Safra when we went for S ballet lesson at 3.00pm,we wouldn't see that during S swimming lesson at 10.30am. There are only stores selling clothes and accessories. This is "Stick Insects" We saw one big boy about 12 YO take up e challenge to hold e stick insects..I was asking S to taking over from that 哥哥,at first S doesn't want. But e person in-charge from Zoo just passing stick insects over to S.. think she has no choice has to take over hahaha. but S is brave , she never scream just remain calm.After that I was asking S what's her feeling when the stick insect crawling on her palm ? scare ? worry ? S said "No" just feel a bit " tickling " Time up, we need to go ballet lesson .. after the lesson S has her free face painting session. You see S still dare to hold up the snake head.. scary.

Good news to share... Coach mention S has chance to pass the butterfly test on next week. Her legs and body movement all correct ..she need to take notice on her hand pulling,S did not park it back hands together after hand pulling action. if she could correct this small mistake, she has high chance to pass her test . Yippee !

Punggol mummies organize a meet up dinner at Marche @ 313 Somerset is just located at Somerset MRT.I went Marche @ Hereen many many year ago.. like the place and I like the foods but I think Marche at Hereen closed. When we reached, we saw a very long Q, Luckily some mummies went early to chop the place.We will be given a order card before we are going to our table.You need to pass the card to the store when you are ordering foods from store to store, they will charge the items to your card. Marche is a very interesting restaurant, like Swiss market .It is quite interesting to see them,how's they are cooking.Too bad we are not allow to take picture on the actual store. We had our Mcdonald's meal @ 4.30pm after S finished her swimming practicing at SK swimming pool, so I just order one kid meal $9.90 Rosti with Chicken cheese sausage + apple drink to share with Sabrina. They also have a small indoor playground that for children to play while parents can enjoy their food. Mummies...
