Time flies,term 2 is going to end in a week time. School has organized P1 Life skills training,invite parents to be a volunteer. Today is my first PV in S P1 school. Life skills inclusive : How to tie shoelaces, How wear a pair socks, how to pack their school bag according to the time table, how to wash hand with 8 steps. Through this PV, I had get to know some mummies in the same class. I first time see all this training kits. Parents spend more time to teach how to tie a shoelace..most of the students had know how to make a knot and tie a ribbon, maybe only one or two totally no clue how to do it.

Today, S Sch homework English free writing about "My Favourite Ice Cream" Sabrina's wrote : My favourite ICE CREAM is strawberry ice cream with whipped cream. Our first family chocolate fondue is at Anderson's. Once it was being put down, I grabbed a spoon, I scooped a marshmallow and dipped it in chocolate souce. Next, I took a cone and took a spoon and I chose strawberry with whipped cream. It was super-duper yummy! There are more flavours : cookies and cream, chocolate with nuts and vanilla. I tried Mcdonald's, Swensens, but no shop is better than Anderson's ! Next of all, I want to share with you my experience. I attended " I AM A LITTLE ICE-CREAM CHEF! " I enjoyed how to make Ice-Cream. And I chose strawberry because it it my favourite flovour !

CHIJ have this Summative Tasks (Term 2 ) for this coming week. 25% of the marks attained from these tasks for each subject will be computed into the final grade at the end of the year. Next week, S has her first Show and Tell exam 16Apr-4May. Total 15 Marks Topic " My favourite Attire". Yesterday, S has a writing homework Wrote by S : When I grow up, I want to be a Doctor. Because when I see people suffering, I feel very sad for them. Whenever I see relatives or family members crying, I feel sorry for them too ! Like my grandpa, He went for leg operation last week. My aunties and uncles were very anxious. Some of them had started crying. I tried soothing them, but nothing could help to soothe them. So, I thought about my grandpa I felt sad too. When I saw him, I was glad that he was okay. My aunties and uncles also breathed a sigh of relief. Whew ! Be a Doctor is a very challenging job ! I need to study hard from now on.

Mcdonalds again ! S and Catherine often request to go Mcdonalds together... feel great that they could get along.

S was in 第二名. S won herself a first prize in CHIJ $10 popular voucher. I asked her " S, how u managed won 2nd place for yourself ?" She answered me proudly.. "Mummy, I work very hard.. I sing and doing action at the same time." Yes ! She will doing well when she has self-esteem in her life.

悯农-李绅: 锄禾日当午,汗滴禾下土.谁知盘中餐,粒粒皆辛苦. Nowadays, children do not understand what is 挣钱辛苦？ Case 1 This few days, I was talking to S about do not drops rice everywhere when eating and I was telling her about my childhood time..her 外婆 (my mum) very strict,外婆do not allow us drop a single rice on the floor, if yes ! we need to pick it up and eat it. When eating we need to use our both hands.. one hand for eating and another hand must hold on to the bowl. Yes ! after S hear about my story.. she did the same..pick up rice on the table and eat it. Case 2 Treasure of her belonging and taking good care of them. Do not lost it and pulling the school bag till tear. Making daddy spending on unnecessary things, buying the thing again and again..I explain it like 花钱like 水龙头，水流个不停. and DO not go school shop buy unnecessary things like ribbon, note pads (so far S had bought 2 things in the school shop)...because a lot of her classmates buy things everyday, she feel like doing the same. I had explain to her...

I like the idea of draw and write system. Picture will help to explain some of story and brighter up the writing :) On the same day, She has wrote another topic on " My Favourite Friend" My favourite friend is Ashley. I like her because she is kind and friendly. Everyday, we go to the track to play. She is always happy. She likes Princess. I made friend with her at the first day of school. I go to recess with her everyday and sit with her almost everyday.And sometimes, we play games in the canteen. We hope our friendship will last forever. I not sure did she use the right grammar rules, but at least she is trying to write everything by her own.

S went school trip to Zoo last month, Only asked to wrote out the journey today. I wondering why teacher ask the writing 3 weeks after the trip ? S even said aiya ! mummy, I forgot all about the Zoo trip already . By helping her to recalled I am asking her a few questions : What's can u see in the Zoo ? Where did your teacher brought u ? What animal does teacher explain in detail ? Sabrina very happy that thru all this questions, she had recalled.:) She has wrote journey below:- We went to the Zoo on 14 February 2012. Teacher brought us for a walk. We saw some animals like meerkats,zebras,giraffes,squirels(squirrels)and many other animals. In the zoo, Teacher taught us the white hippotomu's nose is made up of hair. Then later on, Teacher brought us in a hut. We saw the information about what Probocis Monkey eats and where it lives. We learnt a lot in this trip.

Sabrina went learning journey on Thursday. School homework free writing on her journey.Topic " My trip to the Botanic Gardens" Journey wrote by Sabrina I packed my bag for the learning journey to Botanic Garden. In the morning, Everyone was excited after assembly, we went into the classroom . Teacher taught us how to see "Tembusu Tree" in our Singapore $5 Dollar note and also checked our bags to make sure everything was in order. By 9.00am all the students went to their buses. We were ready to go ! All the students were excited at first soon they began to calm down. After a short, while we reached Singapore Botanic Gardens. We went into the garden and our teacher began to explain about flowers like Vanda Miss Joaquim. After a short while, we moved on to the saga seed tree, teacher taught us the saga seed is call "Love Seed". Then later on, we had our lunch. After I finished my lunch, we played "Eagle and Mother Hen", then we play...

Be a P1 student, S have no friends in Bishan area, and we didn't meet up with any of her old friends too. Today, we happened to meet her classmate Catherine Toh in Mcdonalds, braddell.Catherine is with her grandmother, we decide to sit together. I can't believe, that 2 girls got so much thing to talk. I'm happy to see her could get along with all girls. I have made a book call " My friendship book".An Autograph for her classmates to write.That help to records what all the girls like,contact, hobby.... for her P1 journey memories. I used to had one in the past.

Today, Sabrina said "Mummy ! I could remember all my classmates name and reg no." then she has start to list out their name to me," I said "Sabrina ! that is amazing". Sabrina indeed has a very good memory from what I had been learning journey with her. Sometimes, I even think of this question " Is she a gifted child ?" Yup ! That 's make me feel like a "very proud mummy". After 1 and a half month in school, I am looking at her homework in school, she is always score full stars and A on Chinese, Maths and English, only made 1 or two careless mistakes on her writing. Last week, got sms from her form Teacher, Sabrina is getting better in school. no talking too loud in school, able to concentrate well, do homework fast and neat. but my mother In-law commented "小时了了，大未必佳"..指人不能因为少年时聪明而断定他日后定有作为I am hoping S continue to performance in school. other then that I always reminding S do not be a proud peacock, willing to help her peers. ...

Every students compulsory need to sign up for eChinese learning in CHIJ. Students will get New friends 2012 magazines. So far Sabrina has brought home 1 and 2 周刊. I am trying to read it with her before bedtime. Today, S happy and said Teacher Hong has give them login in name and password to login to eChinese learning online. She has requested for 30min on her computer time.

Sabrina show me her hello kitty school bag ! Uh oh I saw a big big hole..what is happening ? Sabrina lied to me said one of her classmate mistaken her bag that why they were pulling the school bag till tear. but actually the 2 girls was playing... I told S said "she need to tell me the true story.. do not make up a fake story to cover it, just because scare of punishment. I teach Sabrina to be brave enough to admit, what she had been done wrongly. and to say "Sorry" about her lie to mummy.

1)I give $2 pocket money on the 1st day of school-S found/Picking up 50 cents from floor..so She brought back home with $2.50. 2)Broken her school badge during her 1st week of school. 3)On 12 Jan-I went school general office-S Cried because of mummy didn't put in $20 for Chinese E-learning,her chinese tr told her ..she and another girl haven paid up only. 4)General office called : S forgot to put in the Angbao donation form together with the money. 5)On 13 Jan-I went general office-Informed tr S had lent her classmate $2.10. My Advice to S not to borrow/lend money from/to her friends. 6)Form Tr complaint about S : Too talkative changed S to another group (from more closer classmate to less closer classmate). 7)On 14 Jan-S lost her coin purse. (found and collect back from general office on Friday)

I had prepared long long times ago in 2009, I went to do volunteer in 2 schools.Spend my time to do the school projects,went Malacca with P2 students. but end up we give up as we need to move to Bishan to stay with MIL. Changed address , in term to fix in P1 Registration. Brought school shoes and bag in Sep 11. P1 orientation , we went CHIJ event "Starlight ,Starbright". Ordered books online, printing of labels and buying school uniforms. Sabrina hope that time can go faster.. faster reach Jan 2012. We also do preparation for transport during Dec holiday we also tried to cycle from Bishan to CHIJ Toa Payoh..to find out how much time do we need in the morning.Actually I could take bus No 59 but I still prefer cycling. Just treat it for my morning exercise. Finally,The day come, first day of school in P1. They only be in school from 9.00am to 1.30pm for the first day. I left school after sending her to school hall. reminding her I will pick her at the school side gate at 1.30pm...

After S P1 registration successfully in CHIJ.. e school invited us to join in their " Starlight Starbright" event for 2011. This is a very good opportunity let S get to know more about her P1 school. We spend $30 for funfair ticket and we went to see her P1 classroom " P1 Orchid" S will be joining school ballet class in 2012.Their also have students dance performance .. Arts work from students Games time..
