Last year, when S myopia condition had shoot up so fast and in very bad condition. I had totally stop to giving her assessment books for all subjects. I have also stop all her foreign language learning journey at home. Less reading time ! But S school have a lot of English writing composition. I wish she could write good essay. They have split class for their mother Tongue subject in this Term 3, According to her Chinese T they will slowly start on short Chinese writing composition. I wish to prepare her on this area. S alternated all 3 subjects for her daily learning in this June holiday. S will practice her hand writing skill by copying the passage. This will trained her in eye of detail, neat hand writing , motor skill,lesser eraser time and also her speed in writing. Read a lot sample of composition in shorter reading time for English and Chinese. Discuss with her about pictures composition by using When, What, who, whose....Beginning story talking about when then weather of the da...

After met "Molly" we settle our lunch at Clementi shopping mall "Ajisen ramen". we have not enought time to walk around e mall because OCBC bank have a free Magnet Cupcakes making @ Nex B2. The event start @ 1.45pm..children can do some coloring while waiting, they serve coffee and milo, children have lollipop. but they have only 2 tables so everyone need to queue for their turn. overall Sabrina enjoyed her day.

I signed up 1 Day (9am to 5pm) CEPP course (Community Emergency Preparedness Programme) for our family during June School holiday Sabrina had her Brazilian dance lesson at Bishan CC. I saw this CEPP course at Rivervale CC before we didn't manage to join because that time they are under Saturday and Sunday 2 days course.(We can't make it on Saturday. http://www.scdf.gov.sg/content/scdf_internet/en/community-and-volunteers/community-preparedness/community-programmes/cepp.html At period of time, Sabrina reads a lot information about "how to react during emergency case" how to do CPR ?, what's should we do when we have a deep cut ? what's first Aid, what's in the first aid box... and so on. We do have some experiences on "CPR" at Yishun Safra.She is curious and interested to know more, and I want her to grow up with more passions. A lot of Mummies said I have given Sabrina's too much stress.. Yes ! sometimes I did push her a little more..wish I think that she could do it better. Other that teach her at home. I also doing some dancing and Singing at home with her. The songs we like the most is " Gummy Bear Series ". Sabrina really like it when we are crazy at home. Today, We tried "NOboby". she likes to dance more on hot music and she enjoyed.

Her 1st time done when she was 3 year old,she was brave too. she didn't cried, but hole closed after 2 weeks when she was refuse to wore it. Recently, she was mention all of her classmate are wearing rings but she doesn't. So, to avoid her disappointment. Today, She's going to has her 2nd time of ear pierce. We choose Goldheart because they have more choice on ear rings. Make a marking on her ears After that she told me " Is it very painful"

I brought one new tripod from JB recently Sabrina asked me whether she can has the old ones or not ? She want to learn how to self picture. I taught her once then she told me " Mummy, can I do it myself." then she was whole day exploring her camera. Last few days the one thing she did when she was back from school is her camera. She took picture with all her toys..in bed room, in living room, in computer room and all over the house. She has requesting me to bring her go somewhere that she can take picture. Where should I bring her ?

I had teaches Sabrina how to tie her hair about 2/3 months ago. She still not yet master it.Today, after school she just play with her hair. Suddenly, she come and said" Mummy, I can tie my own hair" then I said " show it to me". She was very happy show it to Ah sing jiejie and Daddy at night.Can tell she was very proud of herself successfully did it. I don know,what age does the child learn how to tie their own hair. At least, Sabrina willing to learn everything.

Sabrina on and off play it at home.. sometimes can stay on but sometimes can't. Today, She able to shake it a bit longer time.

Kids love surprises and they also love to get notes. Parents can leave a notes for kid for giving them "encouragement" or just to say "hello". Use brightly colored papers and markers. Decorate the notes with stickers. Using your child's favorite animals or other toys, stage some silly photos (add a caption) with some silly words. Today, I had wrote a "Sorry" note to Sabrina just because sometimes I had lose temper on her.She said "Mummy, I forgive you because you LOVE me. Sabrina loves to write notes for Me and Daddy. This is a excellent idea for her to write and to express her feeling or Thank you notes to someone. and also some nice words from the books she reads...

We'r happened at Library this Sunday,we went for 2pm stories telling topic is about Saving. The stories is about Jenny Pockai spends all her money to buy sunglasses, Card, handbag from Goober G . Goober G will persuade Jenny pockai buying things from him, he even offer people "buy now pay later." Do not choose to pay by installment, if you dont have no money later , you will get in trouble. Jenny Pockai end up spends all her money,Jenny is very hungry because she has no money left to buy food (Bobonuts) Triff-always spends his money on foods. Granny Wisenut-advise Triff to save some money for "Rainy DaY".Buy what you "NEEDS" not what you "WANTS" Triff offer some bobonuts to Jenny to eat.. Jenny learns her lesson not to spends all her money on things that she "Wants". Save some for "Rainy day". When buying things, ask yourself, "Do I really need it ?" "Needs" are things we"Must" have while. ...

At 7.20am, I am helping Sabrina to put her PE attire, I'm realised her name tag was going to came out. Immediately I asking her to wait while , I need to sew the name tag back for her. She was standing right in front of me and talking to me when I doing sewing. Our conversation as below S : Mummy, my classmate "Ryan Yeong" his pants got one hole. Can you sew for him ? Me : Cannot ! he have to ask his mummy to do sew for him. S : Why ????Why cannot ? Me : He is not my son. S : Not yours son also can help to sew right, You see Jesus help all children. Then Sabrina continual to give me a lot of reasons to persuade me to help her friend. One of the reason she give to me was A bible story about " Woman Washes Jesus Feet with Tears". Sabrina said " The woman so kind to Jesus, even wash the feet for Jesus". Then I ask her "Who's teach you that ?" S told me she reads it in a bible book. I was very happy about it that she could "学以智用".

Sabrina likes to type notes on my iphone... some notes that she had wrote. Is a good way to learn spelling.

Today, Sabrina asking me this question ? Have you ever wondered where stars go in the daytime ? then she told me... Nowhere ! Even though you can't see them, stars are still shining in the sky. The shining sun makes the sky so bright that starlight can't be seen. As the sun begins to set, the sky gets darker. Then one by one the stars start to appear. I feel happy because She could read and telling what she had read.

My little sweetheart,She always got the power to make me feels warm. Last week, Daddy got back with a lot of notes books for Sabrina. Now she got a lot of notes books to write her own stories. after she has done her routine homework's. She said " mummy , I need to write a letters for you and daddy. yes, as Sabrina spelling quite strong. Don't be too surprise , sometimes I also asking Sabrina how to spell the words. But She still could not writes more that 5 sentences.should I send her to " creative writing " ? anyone read up this, please leave a notes. Thanks in advance.

I had teaches Sabrina to recognize the National Flags since she was 1 year old. even thought she has good memory but too long never refresh... she almost forgot all the country.. About 70 of the Country flags, I had cut and paste for Sabrina to learn. Maybe some people will think that i kiasu.. but as today education in Singapore. I just want to be prepare for her future. On Monday, when i was on duty in Rivervale Primary sch, I have see all of country flags hanging around the canteen area. Suddenly, I think of the idea let Sabrina do some coloring of National Flags that can improve the coloring skill and also she can recognize the flag more in detail. That also help her in Concentration Norway is her first National flags coloring.. and I realise do coloring and painting can train child to be more careful in their work.

When we are at food counts waiting for our food to came. Suddenly Sabrina said "I see London, I see France, I see Richard Underpants" That make me laugh.. Then I was asking her where did she learned this, then she had told me that she read it from the book name "A bug in a rug". She can tell me the book title. and today She has show me a book that is called "How much Does It Hold ?" A sentence is How many cups of liquid can your kitchen sink hold ? How about your soup bowl ? How about your TUMMY ? then we laugh...... Other day, Sabrina said " mummy ! I know how to count number in Japanese.. I like wOooo Who teach u that? then She again said " One of the stories book I had read". Then she run to get the book... Homework is very important for Sabrina. Schedule is needed for Sabrina. Homework teaches Sabrina how to take responsibility for her part in the educational process. Chinese homework I teaches her stroke order, she need to let me know how many stroke in the word she write. Sabrina write 橫 from right to left. The correct way is from left to right. I need to keep reminding her about it. This homework book is very good because other that the stroke order, they give example sentence that help Sabrina learn how to make a sentence for the word she write. I currently also start to teach about the Spelling of HanYun Pinyin. For what I know Spelling for HanYun Pinyin is very important for the Primary level. English, I brought her Brain Quest Workbook.This book is for Ages 7-8 This book covered Phonics,Spelling and Vocabulary, Language Arts, Reading, Writing, Cursive, Math Skills,Shapes and Measurement, Time and Money, Social studies and Science. Currently I had a topic with Sabrina about" What is responsibility ?" one day, when we are waiting for LRT at platform . She has see a notice on the railway. "Value Life,Act responsibly" She was asking me " Mummy,what is responsibly?" I had explained it to her about a duty as a mummy and a duty as a child. As a mummy, she is responsibly to take care of the housework like cooking, cleaning, taking care of baby. and as a child , she is responsibly to listen to mummy or daddy words, do homework, be good girl. After explanation she told me "She want to do her homework because "She is a responsibility child"
