dribs and drabs learning journey about My Amazing Girl....

I had forgotten about this post.. Without reading, She has not much thing to do at home.. unless I play with her. But I told her that I need to do some house work first. I asking her to help me on folding up the clothing as I could finished the work faster then we could start to play. All the while, she did help me on folding clothes.. mopping..collecting clothes from bamboo stick.. Haha, She had arranged it neat and nicely. I praise her for doing a good job.

In the Morning, I suddenly thinking of let Sabrina learnt some “practical life” skills. so, I brought 3 oranges from Rivervale Plaza market. Let her experienced it " how to Squeeze an orange." This activities requires strength to squeeze an orange, that will help kids to know "how to use their fingers strength and increase the motor skills" This work builds the child’s self-esteem, build up the independence in their life. She has lots of fun squeezing the oranges... By time, She will be an independent person.

I visited my mother at my sister house JB on Saturday. At Custom,Sabrina had queued and submitted her own passport for arriving and departing from Singapore by herself, no need daddy and mummy carry and company her anymore. Daddy was saying "she has passed the test" and allow to go "Camp" for 3 days. I heard Teachers from TAS said they have a Camp on 24-26 Nov is organise by "Heart of God Church". no age limit, Sabrina also can join for the Camp.Wow,Recently Sabrina was keep telling me she want to go Camping. Just the right timing. I decide to check with Sabrina after her lesson. Sabrina said "Yes" to me, even thou she get to know daddy and mummy not going to sleep with her at night. She need to take care herself in the camp means bathing, brush teeth,dress up, eat,sleep by herself. wow, how brave. I am not so worries because all the teachers from TAS will be there to help out. at least, she has someone that she know that she will feel more comfo...

Today is a Monday. I need to go doing some marketing,now is school holiday, Sabrina is at home and she told me she does not want to go market with me.she wanted to stay at home read books., Before I am going,i remind her not to play anything dangers in the kitchen, just stay at sofa read her books.She agree. She has already remember my headphone no. 812xxxxx by now. I let her try to calling me before I am going and I remind her, she need to pick up the phone when the phone rings. Maybe some people will questions me! How can let such young child alone at home.But I know mine girl, she will fulfil her promise. Sometimes , when she is still sleeping. I need to go out to gave something fast,I will leave a notes to her telling her , I will be back in 15min. Reading is no problem for her, she can read and understand the letter. She will doing actually what i need her to do., Other than that, I have teach her about her birth cert No. house address, date of birth, my hp No. House tell No. full...

Eating and Reading at the same time I have starting to train Sabrina to be more independent... 1) Let her eat lunch and dinner by herself but with a book 2) Let her choose what she want to eat. 3) Let her bathe by herself( I only help to apply shampoo). 4) Let her dry up herself and choose her own clothes. 5) After finished her food, clear up plate and bowl to base sink. 6) take off her own shoes and socks and put it to laundry basket. 7) tidy her own books and toys.if she mess up. She has to clear and put back all the thing. She always says " I am big girl already, I not a baby anymore, I can do by myself. I'm an adult already."
