This programme is all about Science..from 2pm to 5pm.
Teacher explaining What is Yeast ? Yeast is a kind of fungus that feeds on sugar, Yeast growing produces carbon dioxide and alcohol.

1)Experimenting with Yeast. investigate Yeast Growth
What you need:
2 Spoonful sugar
warm water
2 spoonful instant yeast
1 empty bottle
1 balloon
Put 2 spoonfuls of sugar into an empty bottle , add about 1/4 cup of warm water into the bottle , mix the sugar and the water by swirling the bottle . add 2 spoonful of yeast into bottle and mix it with sugar solution. Stretch the mouth of a balloon over the mouth of the bottle on the table. Observe what happens.

2) Make a Bomb Bag
What you need :
Warm water
sugar
Instant yeast powder
Ziploc bag
Put 2 spoonfuls of sugar into a Ziploc bag, add about 1/4 cup of warm water into the bag and mix, Next add 2 spoonfuls of yeast into the bag and let them mix the sugar solution , Seal the tightly. Leave the bag on the table for about 15 minutes and observe what happens

3) Knead 3 types of bread dough into 3 different sampling cup
Cup 1
warm water + sugar + plain flour + mixing bowl
Cup 2
Warm water + sugar + 1 spoonful of instant yeast powder + plain flour
Cup 3
warm water + sugar + 2 spoonful of instant yeast powder + plain flour
Fill the mixing bowl with warm water, add the sugar, next add the yeast and mix with the sugar solution, add in the flour and knead the dough, put dough in the sampling cup , Observe what happens.

On the way home, I have asking some question about waht is Yeast ?.. Sabrina able to explain it to me clear.. which mean She is fully understanding , what she has learnt in today lesson.

End of the lesson , kids get chance to make their own pizza but their are not going to bake in the class because no oven.and this is not baking lesson.
