Dancing Raisins Experiment
Today, we did very fun experiment called "Dancing Raisins" in this kitchen chemistry experiment.
You need : 5 raisins, baking soda and vinegar and a glass of water
Raisins sink in the water..
add in the baking soda
Pour the vinegar in see what happens next ...
the acetic acid (that's what makes vinegar sour) reacts with sodium bicarbonate (a compound that's in baking soda) to form carbonic acid.
Hmmm, I actually don know how to explanate it to Sabrina why....
