dribs and drabs learning journey about My Amazing Girl....

We first tried this "Papaya soup" in Tampines,at food court near bus interchange.Is was so delicious till S could finished her one bowl of rice. I decided to cook this special for my loverly girl. Ingredients has whole chicken,南杏北杏,papaya,枸杞子,white fudges. S said is taste better than outside selling at food court. On the same day, She has free writing "My favourite food" homework to do at home. She write about her 1st experienced in Tampines.

Be a P1 student, S have no friends in Bishan area, and we didn't meet up with any of her old friends too. Today, we happened to meet her classmate Catherine Toh in Mcdonalds, braddell.Catherine is with her grandmother, we decide to sit together. I can't believe, that 2 girls got so much thing to talk. I'm happy to see her could get along with all girls. I have made a book call " My friendship book".An Autograph for her classmates to write.That help to records what all the girls like,contact, hobby.... for her P1 journey memories. I used to had one in the past.

S wake up very early, We left home by 7.30am..I started remind her about.. sight reading must count it slowly don rush, must say "Good Morning" to examiner, don panic. We reached before examiners arrive at Yamaha. About 8.50am , We saw 2 men walking toward us. One "Angmo" and one "Indian". AngMo start talking with Sabrina while he is walking to exam studio 24,He is very cheerful and friendly. The examiner went out to pick S and went in together with S. The exam very fast! coming out within 7/8 mins. S said she played well on first and second pieces, make one mistake on 3rd piece. Played well on Scales and Major, Aural-singing a little bit out, examiner play a short song,find out what have change on second time.Answer (Pitch changed).clapping piece is 3 counts in a bar. Sight reading, 2 mistake on notes,Rhythm Ok. S said she has tried her best :)

IL brought a few packs of glutinous rice balls during CNY is still in the refrigerator. I was thinking cook "peanut soup" during the weekend. 汤圆 not only can eat during the festival time. We could treat it as desert. Peanut took long hour to cook , It boiled from 10am to 4.30pm. I have follow recipe from "mywoklife". After popular,we went for dinner Sabrina choose her favour 'Papaya' soup. then follow by for a walk at Tampines Park. S tried walking on single round wood and tyres.. Balacing on the single round wood, isn't easy S could only manage walk 2 steps forward.

When I was in the Popular after S had finished her trial practice at exam studio, one book has caught my eyes..because I have see the words of Mini Science.. Since S was 2 or 3 year old I had done a lot of science experiments with her. example how to fix in the battery, about hot and cold....many many thing could be explain it to her in my own way. and all this and that. Beside the storybooks..S also like to reads about all animals, human body..and S reads a lot of documentary about Dinosaurs... As the same day happened, S got mosquitoes bite while she is napping in the afternoon.I told daddy using mosquitoes spray in our room. So lucky, daddy managed caught one big big mosquito. In the night, when she is reading her new science book , she was explained to us : "Daddy,you had killed one "female" mosquito,do u know why ? because only "female" mosquitoes sucks blood and "male" mosquitoes sucks nectar from flowers. Sabrina said she could learn a lot of k...

Finally, S exam date getting nearer ,about a week more...Changed from grade 1 exam to grade 2 in Nov 11, spend her quality time to practices almost everyday. She has prepared 3 pieces exam songs and all Scales, Arpeggios & Broken Chords in 4 months time. and she has started her piano lesson since her 5YO birthday in Sep 10 spend about 1 and a half year to reached grade 2. I could says " She is working really hard".Even thought she had scolded or spanked by me. (I am very firm). Yes, piano learning not that easy.. need to spend a lot of of time , effort and discipline over mother and child. I here, to Thanks Sabrina's my lovely daughter about her hard work. Mummy know you have all your effort in and I am very sorry about been fierce to you. after her normal 6hours schooling follow by ballet lesson then we have to rush down to Tampines.. Hmm, Studio 24 is not very cold ,, Yamaha exam piano is not very high..look like smaller than our Kawai. e bench not heavy..I'm su...

Got this promotion bus hanger when we are taking bus no. 88 on our way to church. We got a free fried country mushrooms by showing them e bus hanger (must order OOHsome Twosome One for One The Fabulous small Flame and The Gorgeous Small Grill) @ $19.90 only valid for dine-in from 6 Feb to 6 Mar 2012. and we order 2 drinks + 2 soups @ $9.90, e drinks quite nice is called gummy bear... a bit disappointed on their soup..the way they are put in, we thought is western soup just like mushrooms soup.. I like their creamy prawns but S doesn't.. Sense of taste-look at her face...

After piano lesson at home, S wanted to go Library... Whenever I see promotion on student's set menu in e restaurant. I always feel like haizz.. I hope S can grow up faster (paisai) so I could enjoy e promotion. To enjoy e promotion must show her student card or must be in school uniforms. But I told cashier that S student card not yet ready.. but I could show S birth cert in my iphone.. haha.. trying very hard, end up e cashier get in to me. Roastery Chicken Leg (black pepper) w pasta w fruits salad cum a can of coca only $4.80 nice. S finish up all ..except fruits salad. Talking about foods.. S like sashimi most, next prawn noodle, fried chicken wings.. fruits S only take apple and some grapes dislike watermelon, papaya.

Daddy is going out with his friend for dinner, Only Me and Sabrina. I brought S to Junction 8 foodcourt, saw this Japaness food having promotion set only $4.80 (salmon + Pork) with miso soup. I ordered other chawanmushi @ $1 and fried prawn $4.50 Sabrina's favor food.

Today is Sabrina last piano lesson @ Tampines, so decided bring Sabrina to have fun @ Expo Changi City Point, get to know this thru sengkangbabies blog. Outside the shopping centre there is a very beautiful lighting and the lights will change colors. The 3 house playground is located @ 2nd floor just outside e food count. e water play very similar to the NEX, serangoon. Except the 3 house have a more adventures playground not like the usual slide. water play is always fun..Is time to enjoy her childhood time. Time for destress... spin,spin,spin and round,round,round. went home about 7.30pm..bc S still has not done her stellar handwriting HW from school.

A difficult part is on the left hand one finger need to hold 4 counts and another 2 fingers need to play legato and staccato.. Right hand need to change finger all time.

We have no family outing recently. Get to know this place thru one of my friend. She has recommend us to bring cardboard for slide down from slope.We took bus no.93 ,2 bus stops away from Bishan. Zigzag bridge.. We pass the extra cardboards to other kids and they have join in the fun with S. Mummy is too heavy for this slide. A very beautiful sunset for our family potrait

Today,4th week of the lesson,under this new coach his way of teaching very slow... I don't really like this coach...his don give much training. His never split it in 2 difference group like students can do better and students are weak..focusing too much time on the weak ones. Those students can swim or do better all waiting and do nothing in the pool. I will change S back to morning session for next term.

Today, Sabrina said "Mummy ! I could remember all my classmates name and reg no." then she has start to list out their name to me," I said "Sabrina ! that is amazing". Sabrina indeed has a very good memory from what I had been learning journey with her. Sometimes, I even think of this question " Is she a gifted child ?" Yup ! That 's make me feel like a "very proud mummy". After 1 and a half month in school, I am looking at her homework in school, she is always score full stars and A on Chinese, Maths and English, only made 1 or two careless mistakes on her writing. Last week, got sms from her form Teacher, Sabrina is getting better in school. no talking too loud in school, able to concentrate well, do homework fast and neat. but my mother In-law commented "小时了了，大未必佳"..指人不能因为少年时聪明而断定他日后定有作为I am hoping S continue to performance in school. other then that I always reminding S do not be a proud peacock, willing to help her peers. ...

Every students compulsory need to sign up for eChinese learning in CHIJ. Students will get New friends 2012 magazines. So far Sabrina has brought home 1 and 2 周刊. I am trying to read it with her before bedtime. Today, S happy and said Teacher Hong has give them login in name and password to login to eChinese learning online. She has requested for 30min on her computer time.

I brought Sabrina to JB to visit my sisters,we went after S swimming lesson reached JB about 6pm.We went hospital to visit grandpa, he has a leg operation in Hospital Sutera, JB.but too bad, children under 12 year old can not enter in to ward. after that they have BBQ party at my younger sister house. The next day,we have steamboat session before back to Singapore. Sabrina happy enough to play with her cousins and friends.

Sabrina show me her hello kitty school bag ! Uh oh I saw a big big hole..what is happening ? Sabrina lied to me said one of her classmate mistaken her bag that why they were pulling the school bag till tear. but actually the 2 girls was playing... I told S said "she need to tell me the true story.. do not make up a fake story to cover it, just because scare of punishment. I teach Sabrina to be brave enough to admit, what she had been done wrongly. and to say "Sorry" about her lie to mummy.
