Dividend and Balance
Starting from first day I had teach Sabrina Maths at home. Starting from counting numbering in order 1-100 then 100-1.
Arranging the numbers cards from 1-10 then next row 11-20 then 21-30. Slowly count from first card say One, second cards then say Two make it slow.. to Ten.
Then repeat it again from slowly to fast speed then encourage her to follow after you.
I let her practising of fill in the missing numbers.till she could know before 11 is 12 and after 12 is 13.
Every child is difference.This way of teaching is work for Sabrina but doesn't work for others.
Because of Sabrina has good function of numbering and times tables,knowing which number is greater than or less than.
and She is a fast learner.
Today I start will this after dividend still has balance. I explain it she need to see the figure. When is doing dividend if the question like
46 divide by 8 , she need times table 8 to help. she need to use 5 x 8 = 40 (less than the question)She can not use 6 x 8 = 48 (greater than the question).Always need to choose the less than. and then write out the balance.
I actually only explain it 3 questions. She get it the concerts. I stay with her for the next 3 questions.
She is doing great. Maths is a subject need practising. Practise make prefect.
But worksheet no need too much. Just one row will do.
