How to make Foochow Red Rice Wine
Red rice wine is a traditional food in my hometown..
Red rice wine also type of confinement food in my hometown, women need to take this during their confinement period as to keep their body warm.
Ingredients
jiu piah
ang kek bee (red yeast rice)
Soak the glutinous rice overnight and steam it.
Loosen and spread the rice out to cool completely
Grind jiu piah, ang kek bee mix it with cook glurunous rice
Transfer the mixture to a container and cover tightly with a lid. Store the container in a warm, dry place and allow the mixture to ferment for 1 month.
then will have to mix it every 7 days.
